At approximately 07:25 this morning, Jessie Louw, a resident of Eldorado Park, was on her way to take the children to school and usually they stop at the bridge to watch the water flow.

Louw was hit by surprise as she said, “die is waar ons nou die pink voete sien.”

Translated: “This is where we stopped and saw the baby’s feet”.

A baby was found in the river just along the banks and the size of the baby is that of an adult hand.

Louw added, “I stopped a few cars and asked them to call the cops for me and then they came. The mother and father of the baby have not been found.”

The baby is approximately 3-6 months old.

Police spokesperson, captain Phillemon Khorombi could not be reached for comment after the Eldorado Park Newspaper attempted to make contact.
