Teachers and learners turned away by parents

Fuming parents of Winnie Ngwekazi wants the principal out!

Parents whose children attend at a primary school in Pimville are fuming over the school’s principal who is accused of abusing his power.

Protesting outside the school, parents are demanding his removal. Teachers and learners were forced to turn back as no one was allowed to enter the school. Details are still sketchy as we couldn’t get comments from anyone from the school.

Some of the concerns are:

  • The school principal is accused of not answering questions during parent meetings
  • He is accused of not finding a replacement for an English language educator since the last term
  • He bullies staff
  • Always organises fund-raising events but the money is nowhere to be seen
  • When fellow staff members question his decisionmaking, he threatens to fire them
  • A cheque was left by French donors which he didn’t present to his fellow educators
