Snake Park residents shut down police station

Residents claim the police station is underresourced and offers 'poor' service.

Yesterday, Doornkop residents shut down their local police station claiming it provides nothing but ‘poor’ service delivery.

Protesters blockaded the main gate entrance while singing liberation songs as a way of raising displeasure.

They [protesters] are convinced that the ‘poor’ service delivery at the police station is due to it being underresourced, hence, the lack of police visibility in the area.

The protest was led by Ward 129 councillor Jabulani Thomo.
