An armed gang made their getaway in three cars after robbing the G4S money delivery truck that had just collected the money from the Establishment.
“Only the guard from the money delivery truck was shot and no one else, they got away with the money.”
The exact amount of money which they fled with is R57, 380. This is according to Ronald Ndlovu, the manager at the Establishment in Diepkloof Square.
Ndlovu said, “The guard was barely missed by a bullet in the heart, he survived because he wore a bulletproof vest. It seems like they wanted to kill him.”
“The police from Diepkloof arrived at the scene 05.45 pm after the robbery took place at 5 pm. The police from around are disappointing,” Ndlovu said.
The case is being investigated by the Diepkloof SAPS.
