Youth’s capabilities displayed for Mother’s Day

The organisers of the event were as enthused about the event as the attendees.
Thokozile Mabena explained that they were trying to bring the youth back from the primrose path and the streets so that their parents can see them grow up to be responsible adults.

The youth from around Diepkloof’s neighbouring communities like Orlando and Meadowlands all came to compete in the One Pole soccer challenge.

Keabetswe Loate, one of the participants said, “This looks like a very exciting tournament. I’m so thrilled to be here.”

Itumeleng Kgaboesele captured the even for the mothers.

The gogos from Tlakukani, the organisation for the old ladies participated in a street soccer match as well.
Napo Pholoane, another organiser for the event said, “The event was to bring the people and the youth together and out of the streets so that their minds can stay sharp to achieve tangible goals.”
Kabelo Montshiwa said, “Thokozile is doing a great job, this will even expose the talents of the kids to the community. We hope the community, especially the mothers enjoyed the street soccer tourbnament.”
Kgalalelo Ramosodi said, “I just want to make my mother proud of me.”
