Five illegal abortion places in Diepkloof found and destroyed.
Unsafe abortions rebuked
Residents from Diepkloof are fed-up with the posters and advertisements about the so-called ‘cheap and pain-free abortions’. So they tracked the places down and about five places in Diepkloof Zone Six were found and destroyed.
The communications officer for Diepkloof SAPS said, “The people were cleaning their community from the preposterousness that takes place in their community under their noses, but no crime was committed during these episodes and no person was assaulted.”
Brian Pete from Diepkloof Zone Six said, “The people running these perilous businesses under the people’s noses are not even from the community, nor the country for that matter.

“We are taking down their shacks which are the places where they undertake their crimes. These people claim to be healing and helping people but their businesses are not even registered with the Department of Health.”
Pete added that “As a resident in this community I am scared for our children, for their safety and that of ours because there are many uncanny things that occur under our noses – and sometimes in our backyards.”
Matlalepule Maluleka, a ward committee member in Ward 26 said, “As the community of Diepkloof we stand against illegal business dealings.”
