Monique Badenhorst selected to be one of the semi-finalists for Mrs Tammy Taylor South Africa 2019
Monique needs a vote to qualify for Mrs TTSA2019 finalist.
Monique Badenhorst, born in Eldorado Park, has been selected to be one of the semi-finalists for Mrs Tammy Taylor South Africa 2019.
On the 4th of March, Monique released a press statement regarding her journey in the competition and what it is about.
According to the press statement, Mrs Tammy Taylor SA is a programme established for married women who would usually do not have such opportunities to compete and be ambassadors for SA on global scale.
The press statement continued to state that, “The opportunities and platform that have been created for Mrs South Africa entrants are significant in every way and truly creates a ripple effect across our beautiful country. Through the journey of Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa, women find themselves again and learn that they are never too old to follow their dreams and become voices of change.”
Monique’s journey began on the 1st of March, where she and other beautiful married women from all over the country were invited for 2nd National Casting and Empowerment workshop that took place at Emperors Palace.
After the semi-finalists were selected, they then attended weekend workshops where they were taught how to prepare for the journey they were about to embark.
Monique is happy to have been chosen to be part of the semi-finalists. “‘Why try hard to fit in when you are born to stand out’ I am super excited about my journey ahead but most all I am honoured to be part of a women empowerment movement,” stated Monique in the press statement.
The competition is proudly sponsored by SABC 3, Suzuki SA, Lamelle Research Laboratories, Rewewal Institute, Emperors Palace, Tammy Taylor Nails South Africa, Collagen Lift, Contempo, Body20 and Mpact Recycling, Nomination, Brentoni, Thandar Inc, City of Ekurhuleni as well as CATRICE Cosmetics.
Monique said that this journey is more about giving back to the community and she needs votes to go to the final stage of the competition. 25 women will be selected as finalists of Mrs Tammy Taylor SA and they will be announced on the 28th of June at Emperors Palece.
