Diepkloof City wants to represent the city
Diepkloof City Football Club (FC) has turned to a new chapter this year with nine games played and having lost only one, won seven out of the nine and only drew one game.
The young coach of the team Banele Mkhwanazi explained that the spirit from the players in his team has gone up so far this year and that his team has its eyes on the league.
Diepkloof City FC is currently playing in the Nike Soweto League and their last game was up against a team called LGTG which they defeated 1-0 as the squad continues with maintain the good form.
Mkhwanazi said, “Our mentality has changed and improved this year in contrast to last year.
The boys are now showing discipline, dedication and character in the field.”

The coach bragged about the fact that one of his players, Sphiwe Magagula has scored four goals so far.
The team which has already won the league in the past is struggling, however, to keep up with the resources a team needs to keep its players encouraged, and the coach explained that the team needs facilities and soccer balls and some resources because the team gets large (number-wise) at times but the resources are just not enough
The coach of the team that is comfortably sitting third on the log explained that they do not only aim to win the league again but to further motivate the team to bigger and better leagues like the Castle SAB League.
Mkhwanazi said, “We were polishing our speed, movement and awareness today to increase our level of play during games.”
