Suspect arrested for mob justice

Constable Mzwakhe Xazi police discouraged people whom are taking the law into their own hands.

A 46-year-old male was arrested for mob justice unleashed on the son of a resident from Dobsonville Extension 3.

According to the police report, the father of the complainant opened the case on behalf of his son at Dobsonville Police Station.

“The community beat up the son of the complainant to the pulp was later admitted at the hospital.

“One of the suspects was finally identified and was later arrested for taking the law into their own hands,” said Dobsonville Police Station Spokesperson Mzwakhe Xazi.

He said police discouraged people whom are taking the law into their own hands.

Constable Xazi said they are hopeful that more arrest will follow soon while police continues with their investigation.

The suspect will soon appear before the Roodepoort Magistrate Court.
