A 30 year old man hands himself over to Jabulani police for alleged murder
The deceased previously opened a case of assault and later dropped the charges.
A 30 years old man arrested after he handed himself to the police in Jabulani, the arrest comes as a result of the alleged murder of his 24 years old girlfriend.
Sargent Phindile Mavuso said the deceased (24) was strangled to death by her boyfriend (30), the deceased had bruises on her neck. The incident took place on Sunday, 7 April 2019, at Xuma Street in Zola Extension
The suspect was at large when the police received a tip-off and on Tuesday he handed himself to the police. He will appear at the Protea Magistrate Court.
According to Mavuso, the motive is still unknown but the deceased previously opened a case of assault and later dropped the charges.
