Protea Glen Clinic opening a youth clinic

The aim of opening this clinic according to Protea Glen Clinic chairperson, Thulani Ndlovu is to reduce the HIV infection rate amongst youth to 0%.

The Protea Glen Clinic will be opening a youth clinic on July 6.

The services offered at the clinic are youth counselling, STI testing and treatment, family planning, vct etc.

The aim of opening this clinic according to Protea Glen Clinic chairperson, Thulani Ndlovu is to reduce the HIV infection rate amongst youth to 0%.

It is also aimed at destigmatising HIV infection as many youth are scared to disclose their status.

The clinic will also offer PrEP treatment to the youth as a large number of them are involved in relationships with older men who are infecting them with HIV.

Ndlovu encourages the youth to come out in their numbers to use these services and learn more about sexual reproductive health.
