Murder accused in Nomsa Mbuyisa case appeard in court
The court case will continue on August 15.
The suspect appeared before the Palm Ridge Magistrate Court in Thokoza- East Rand for the second day of his trial for the murder of his ex-girlfriend Nomsa Mbuyisa.
When Captain Zakes Ndlovu took the stand, he was on duty on May 30 2018. “I was driving at Chris Hani Road and I turn to Ellias Motsoaledi Road, when I was near Mshenguville Park, I received a message through Radio that they are taxi violence at White City. When I arrived at the scene I saw people standing around a corpse and I asked questions.”
“We went back to the scene and found the family and we took them to open a murder case at Moroka Police Station. The family stated that the police failed them because they had 19 protection orders against the suspect.”

“The community members were not happy to see the suspect after the incident. He was taken to Moroka Police Station and was found in possession of a firearm by JMPD,” added Ndlovu.
Post-Moterm was read in court. During the trial, the accused was looking at the packed public gallery shaking his head and laughing.
Dumisani Mbuyisa who was also shot by the suspect took the stand, he testified that the suspect “killed his sister and shot him in the leg.”
The court case has been adjourned to August 15 Thursday. The perpetrator will remain in custody.
The perpetrator is facing charges of murder, two attempted murder, unlawfully firearm, and unlawfully ammunition.
