Dangerous hole outside a house in Phiri finally fixed

There was a big hole near their main gate whereby they were not able to use the gate due to the hole.

After a story published recently about the family of Mathaba in Phiri, which was in desperate need of help for months following dangerous living conditions, finally, the setback has been solved.

There was a big hole near their main gate whereby they were not able to use the gate due to the hole.

According to Pauline Mathaba, the owner of the house, she experienced the problem in her yard when it was becoming without any knowledge of what the problem might be and then she went to the Johannesburg Water for assistance.

It was found that there was a liking pipe underground and has finally it has been fixed after several months of living in that bad condition.

“I am happy that the problem has been solved and we and the public are no longer living in fear because the hole was causing danger especially for children who were always playing near the big hole.


The big hole which was at the main gate has been closed.

“Everything is fixed after a long time but I appreciate the help that I received and I can be able to use my main gate again,” said Mathaba.

She said it was discovered that there was also an electricity cable which was faulty in the same hole and that in it caused danger in here home because when they touched their tap they got choked without any knowledge of what the reason may be but all the trauma has ended.
