JMPD traffic warden arrested for accepting a bribe in Soweto

Both the corrupt traffic warden and the driver were both arrested and detained at Diepkloof Police Station.

A JMPD Traffic Warden was today arrested , when he was caught red handed accepting a bribe.

The Warden stopped a car with a trailer at a road side check on Soweto Highway which was transporting vegetables .

The license disc of this vehicle and the trailer had expired, and the corrupt warden accepted a R30 bribe , instead of giving a traffic fine.

A newly appointed sergeant of JMPD Internal Affairs Unit spotted the corrupt act taking place and confronted the warden.

The driver of the car and trailer then fled the scene, but was blocked by JMPD officers on Immink Drive Diepkloof.

Both the corrupt traffic warden and the driver were both arrested and detained at Diepkloof Police Station on charges of bribery and corruption.
