They have played 13 games without a defeat, on top of the log with 2 games in hand. Captain Earl Van Jaarsveld is leading the batsmen at the moment and has scored 404 runs in the process, with 450s and a century to his name.

His Dad the great Ismail “bones” Vania, was one of best bowlers coming out of Riverlea and played the game at a competitive level until the age of 50, what a bowler.

Van Doorsen shared on their recent game; “the team has been consistent for the past 2 years, they won the league last year and we just need to keep going the sky is the limit.

“The Walter Muller Oval is becoming a fortress as it’s not easy for teams to come and win especially on a Saturday.

“The support we receive from the community on a Saturday when we play home or away is remarkable, thank you.”
