Vusisizwe Learners rushed to Clinic after eating ‘expired sweets’

16 Learners rushed to Zola Clinic.

At least sixteen (16) learners from Vusisizwe Primary School in Zola, Soweto were treated at the Zola Clinic after eating expired sweets.

The incident took place on February 21.

According to the Department of Education spokesperson Steve Mabona, the learners were rushed to the Zola Clinic after feeling sick from consuming sweets bought from a vendor at school.

All learners were medically attended to and later discharged.
