Health & Safety Awareness Day from the Freedom Park Fire Department

Local SAPS sent out officials from their Youth Desk to inform the children of their rights.

Friday, the 13th of March – turned out to be a success for God’s Ark Academy as they shared a very exciting day with officials from the Freedom Park Fire Department.

They delivered a very informative and captivating show to the youngsters who were thrilled to experience the viewing and a tour of a fire engine truck from friendly firefighters.

This was then followed by health officials from the local extension 9 clinics. Adilla and her team who administered immunisations together with Vangile (dental hygienist) from Chiawelo Clinic ended it with an oral hygiene demo.

The children’s smiles were even brighter when they were handed toothbrushes and toothpaste.

Local SAPS sent out officials from their Youth Desk to inform the children of their rights, ending this day off in high spirits.

“The success of the day was contributed to the kindheartedness of their sponsors; Boyz Liquor Store, Elroys Bakery & Takeaway and D&D Takeaway for their generous donations,” said Ilse Van Wyk.
