Ward 22 committee members check school readiness
Learners are urged to ensure they follow lockdown regulation.
Last week Monday, August 24 Grade R,1,2,3,4,6,9,10, and 11 returned back to school, parents wanted to make sure if the rules and regulations of curbing COVID 19 are being followed.
Ward 22 Branch Executive Committee members of Mosaka Branch Mashudu Mukwevho, Julia Molotsi, Tshepo Lephotho, Thuli Montsho, and Mando Mtabasinde visited 11 schools within the ward to check whether they are ready to welcome the learners back to school.
Mtabasinde said they wanted to see if all the teachers and school kids wear their musks, sanitise and if there was social distancing in the classes.

“We wanted to check if there people who are monitoring the learners and checking the temperatures before they get into the school premises,” she said.
She said they were happy with what they saw in the school, although the was one school that they found with no social distancing amongst the learners they addressed the matter. Mtabasinde said the plan in Pimville Primary for the foundation Phase made them happier as they have divided them into groups that will attend on rotational days.
This week more learners went back to schools meaning there will be more children inside the school.
