Klipspruit man buried almost a month later

Local businesses and community come together in the spirit of Ubuntu and help bury one of their own.

The community of Pimville and businesses have come to the rescue of the Letele family which has been struggling to bury one of their own for close to a month.

The Klipspruit based family lost Oupa Letele on the 16th of August but were unable to bury him due to financial constraints.

His nephew Thapelo Letele said when his uncle died, it was hard for them to organise a dignified funeral for him as they did not have any insurance or funeral cover. No one in the family employed including Thapelo and his other two uncles.

Their only source of income used to be rent money which they used to collect from their tenants but due to electricity issues in the area, they lost all their tenants.

On September 9 Thapelo’s was given a dignified send off, when different stakeholders with the community came together and made a contribution which helped the Letele family in their time of need.
