Protea Glen SAPS commend the community for assistance in fighting crime
The communications Officer for Protea Glen SAPS, Sergeant Vincent Mashiteng commended the people for always being swift in reporting crimes taking place in their neighborhoods.
The police have had successful arrests around Protea Glen ranging from petty drug busts to recovering stolen cars because of the assistance they receive from the community.
The communications Officer for Protea Glen SAPS, Sergeant Vincent Mashiteng commended the people for always being swift in reporting crimes taking place in their neighborhoods because he said, “Many of the tip-offs they have made to the police resulted in successful arrests and the outright fight against crime And criminals.”
The people from Protea Glen don’t turn a blind eye to crime, whenever a suspicious individual is spotted, calls are usually anonymously put out to inform the police and in most cases, the people’s hunches have been right on the spot and they have paid off in successful arrests.

The people from Protea Glen are also fed up with crime and criminals running their neighborhood, whenever a dodgy person is seen, they make sure to inform the police, Sergeant Mashiteng said, “Our fight against crime is not only ours but the entire community’, we encourage all the other people from the community to never turn a blind eye to crime as well so that it doesn’t prevail.”
The crime statistics for the 2019/2020 were issued out by the Police Minister Bheki Cele and they have indicated that violent crimes have been slowed down, he said, “Indeed, we are not where we want to be yet, however, we are pleased with the improvements in most stubborn crime categories.”
