DA loses another councillor to the PA in Eldorado Park
DA Ward 18 councilor joins PA.
The Patriotic Alliance (PA) announced live on their Facebook page that they have received a new councilor on their side.
The president of the PA, Gayton McKenzie welcomed ward Cllr Fazel Jaffer who was the Democratic Alliance (DA) councilor for Ward 18 in Eldorado Park.
This follows the resignation of former DA Ward 17 Cllr Peter Rafferty who joined the PA in October last year.

Ward Cllr Jaffer was assisting in both Ward 17 and Ward 18 after the resignation of Rafferty.
Jaffer said in the video that one of the reasons for leaving the DA was that their focus has shifted and was more directed to the suburban areas.
“I’d like to thank the DA for allowing me to serve under them for the last four years,” said Jaffer.
Rafferty was with McKenzie and Kenny Kunene when the announcement was made. Jaffer accepted his green PA t-shirt as a sign that he is now a PA Cllr.
