35-year-old gunman arrested for attempted murder

He also tried to bribe the police.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in Protea Glen for attempted murder after shooting another man on the legs.

 

The police report didn’t specify how many times the victim was shot however, the Spokesperson for the JMPD, Wayne Minnaar, confirmed that a 35-year-old man was indeed arrested for attempted murder and to worsen his case, the suspect also attempted to bribe the officers.

 

Minnaar said, “The victim was rushed to Baragwanath Hospital for medical attention while the trigger happy suspect was detained at Protea Glen Police Station.”

 

Before attempting to bribe the police, the suspect was found in possession of a revolver and ammunition.

 

The man tried to bribe the police with an approximate amount of R3000.

 

The 35-year-old suspect is due to appear in court while the victim recovers in hospital.
