Summer School Games in association with Shuku Ndaleka and Stayela SA Mahala present the Easter U17 Netball Tournament.
Richard Tale, who is the Summer School Games project manager, explained that this is their first junior netball tournament since they have started their sporting committee in Diepkloof, Zone 3.
In a previous interview, Tale shared: “Netball is our start but we are promising the best sports programme in Diepkloof. Netball is not active in Diepkloof, so our main aim is to make it active with more teams. We want to fight teenage pregnancy and in every corner, there are a lot of kids gambling and smoking drugs. Crime is getting high. We also want to create job opportunities.”
According to the project manager, the Easter U17 Netball Tournament will be held in Diepkloof Sports Centre corner Dippenaar Street and Jacklipen Street. Players from different areas are encouraged to part-take in the tournament.
