The championships were for the children, cadets, and juniors. From winning a gold medal in the Kumite division to see him qualify for the trip to Durban, Msomi didn’t lose any consistency, Sensei Thabo Molubi said, “He rose to the occasion, as usual, he booked his place in the finals after defeating all of his opponents to later win the gold medal. He was exceptional.”
