Dead body of a baby found in Kraaifontein Street, Eldorado Park
SAPS on the lookout for suspect(s) of concealment of birth.
On August 23 at approximately 8am members of Eldorado Park SAPS attended to a complaint of a body of an unknown new born baby that had been discovered at Corner Kraaifontein and Mowbry Street, Extension 4 in Eldorado Park.
According to Constable Roxanne Gibb when members of SAPS arrived at the scene, the members were pointed to a bucket that had been covering the foetus. Upon further inspection of the scene, a maize meal bag which contained soil and blood were discovered not far from where the foetus was discovered.

“It is suspected that the maize meal bag was used to carry and conceal the foetus, and furthermore removed by dogs. The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently unknown at this stage, and a case of concealment of birth is registered and will be investigated at Eldorado Park SAPS,” said Gibb.
