Loobub DJ released his remix to 1 Ten 3 Ones (Bel die Polisie)
DJ/ Producer from Eldorado Park shares his latest song which is inspired by Amapiano but in Afrikaans so the artists call the genre ‘Afri-ano’
Melvyn Riberts also known by his stage name Loobub DJ from Eldorado Park released a single called 1 ten 3 one (Bel die Polisie). The producer/ DJ had Jay Music, Meneer Cee and Jeun Starchild on the song which was released on October 1.
Loobub DJ started out practising on virtual DJ and in 2012 he opened his first digital audio work station and that is where he produced his first song. In 2016 he went to Soul Candi and studied music business, digital music production and DJ 101. After that he then started playing at club events and started building my brand from 2017.
The producer/DJ works from home and has his own record label called South Entertainment which houses different artists who would like to release their music.

“1 ten 3 one (Bel die Polisie) speaks about the times that we are in. It speaks about the lockdown and curfew. You will always find someone calling the police because of a party being held or people are outside after curfew. The main plot of the song is to have a good time but still adhere to the regulations,” explained Loobub DJ.
The DJ added that it is an Amapiano song but in terms of style and content they have established a name under themselves titled ‘Afri-ano’ or ‘Afriano’ which is basically ‘Afrikaans Amapiano’.
“It has Afrikaans slang and common words that are used in the coloured communities. Coloured people need to embrace what we know and what we are familiar with so we think that it is important to introduce our style to the rest of South Africa,” added Loobub DJ.
The DJ shared that there will definitely be more music coming out from their side and would love the support from the community.
