Another notable hit in this album is Ngiyabonga baba which has gone viral causing its music video to be nominated for Best Traditional Gospel Video at the 2021 Eminent Video Music Awards.
In this album, Mbatha worked with the likes of Putuma Tiso, Kate Zolabhadi Nyamende and MuzieB Xulu who is also a co-producer. “I started singing when I was very young. I was probably between the ages of seven and nine when I was attending church services with my mother Sizakele maDlamini Mbatha who played a huge role in grooming me and teaching me about God. I also learned a lot from my late father Elias Msinsi Mbatha who was one of the singers in a group called Nongoma 100% brothers,” explained Mbatha.

After finishing his matric at Thulwana High School in 1999 he had to come to Johannesburg to look for greener pastures so he could take care of his mother and siblings. Growing up, Mbatha’s greatest desire has always been to become one of the best gospel stars in South Africa. This however seems to be a dream that will take time to manifest into reality as he just started gaining fame. “I struggled to get into the music industry, doors weren’t opened,” said Mbatha.
The artist has been in the music industry for more than 10 years. Regardless of the challenges he encounters as a musician, his love and passion for music keeps him going forward and looking towards achieving greater things.
“My desire is to grow in the music industry so I can help other upcoming artist in the community to peruse their dreams,” he concluded.
