ANC ward 26 leaders congratulate Immaculata Secondary for great 2021 matric results
The school was at the top of the list in comparison with all the schools based in Diepkloof with a pass rate of 95, 7% which is an improvement from 2020's 95,0%.

ANC Ward 26 leaders along with Councillor Sthembiso Mashinini visited Immaculata Secondary School in Diepkloof Zone 2 on Wednesday, February 16 to congratulate the school for achieving great results for Matric class of 2021.

The school was at the top of the list in comparison with all the schools based in Diepkloof with a pass rate of 95, 7% which is an improvement from 2020’s 95,0%. The visit was also to introduce councillor Mashinini who is currently the youngest councillor in Soweto and a proud product of Immaculata Secondary School.
Speaking at the event, Mashinini congratulated the school for coming out the best even in the midst of the global pandemic. “We all know how schools were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic but even in the midst of the global pandemic, the school remained consistent and never dropped the results to anything below 90% and that makes us proud,” he said.
Mashinini motivated the school’s class of 2022 and teachers to aim for even greater results and also made a commitment to assist wherever he can as a ward councillor. “Our aim is to motivate our learners and teachers and show them appreciation when they achieve good results.
This is one of the schools in our ward that did great, we are going to visit others in the coming weeks to also congratulate them,” Mashinini said. “This is where leadership begins, these are our future leaders and we need to nurture them at this very young age.”
The school has also made a commitment to achieve even greater results in the 2022 academic year.
