Stolen goods recovered in Pimvillle

In their fight against crime, residents of Pimville recovered stolen goods from suspected thieves last week.

The incident happened late at night when patrollers under the Pimville Community Forum were patrolling the area.

The forum spokesperson, Sam Ndlovu said they got a tip off about two men who were in possession of suspected stolen goods. “We chased them and caught one of them while the other one managed to get away. The one we apprehended confessed that the items were stolen, he got them from his friend from Eldorado Park and they were going to sell them,” explained Ndlovu.

The spokesperson went on to say that the apprehended man is known for causing trouble in the community. They also went to Eldorado Park to look for the other suspect but couldn’t find him.

His father told member of the Pimville Community Forum that it’s better his son gets arrested because he has also been causing trouble in the community.

Recovered items include a hose pipe, pots and enamel basins. According to Ndlovu, Police refused to take the stolen goods without a case being open first. The Pimville Community Forum is urging anyone that might have information about the owner of the stolen goods to come forward.
