Dressed in vibrant colours and sporting their Heritage Day outfits, 48 bowlers took the green for a fun-filled day.

Vice president of the club, Cliff Kay, said the day was held to boost the spirit of club members.

Belgravia Bowling Club’s victor and victrix ludorum Oneday Nyandima and Liezl George were at the Heritage Bowls Day, ready for the celebrations.

He said the day, which was sponsored by Personal Trust, had a good turnout.

Founded in 1917, Kay said the club has an established history and numerous talented players.

At one stage the club boasted 300 members. Only around a third remains but the club is hoping to attract more members.
