The grieving community remembered the 28-year-old as a vibrant youngster who was passionate about driving issues facing young people.

Longtime friend, Noluthando Mdikinco who was among the last people to see Luvuno alive said her heart was throbbing with anguish.

“The death of Zama is the greatest pain I’ve felt. She had a beautiful heart, lots of love to give and always went out of her way to make sure the next person was okay.

“She would rather fight with her sister to protect us – whenever we were at her home,” said Mdikinco. “I regret being the one who accompanied her that day, if I could turn back the hands of time.”

While another friend and fellow comrade in Ward 129, Lerato Ntsolo said she would remember her friend for her laughter.

“I am sad because reality will kick in from today- that I will no longer see her. I keep hearing her loud laugh. Something she was known for.

Chairperson in the branch, Enos Sithole, said the party had lost a vibrate leader who was selfless.

“We are deeply saddened as the ANC when a young person dies because we regard them as an asset as they are the future of the ANC and leaders of this country.

“Let not her death be in vain but it is up to us to take the fallen spear and carry on with it.

“If we all here are saying we are grieving for Zama, let there be something that we do that will remember her works and that is by changing the lives of young people.”
