SA teen pageant countdown has begun

19 year-old Reamogetse Monare, born and bred in Dobsonville is a definition of beauty with brains.

Monare who is currently doing a Diploma in electrical engineering was chosen as one of the quarter finalists for Miss Teen World SA 2023.
The beauty queen from Soweto who started her modeling career over a year ago said she has always been passionate about modelling.
She added that while her career is still new, it has been one of the fulfilling decisions she has taken.
“I have always wanted to do modelling and see myself being on billboards for some of the biggest brands but I firstly had to fulfil my mother’s request to finish high school so I could pursue this without any hindrance but regardless, I believe in inspiring people to rise above their circumstances.”

In 2021, Monare entered a magazine competition where she made it to the top five and earlier this year, entered the afro-style competition where she made it to the top ten and has never looked back.
“Initially I wanted to join Miss Teen SA but it wasn’t open as yet so I went searching on social media for other pageantry competitions and I saw this and after reading up about it, I knew that I had to take part,” she recalled.
She added that this was a therapeutic outlet and won’t stop until she reaches her dream.
“It’s been great, the support and love I have been receiving so far, from my friends and family of course,” she said.
“Making it to the finals would be a great opportunity to unleash the inner potential and get insight and a massive pageant of this nature only means that bigger doors will get unlocked.”
She shared that while she dreams of walking the Miss SA stage one day and representing the country, she was likely to move a different direction.

“My height is a bit problematic but the ultimate goal I am working towards in the next three years is becoming a commercial or run way model. I see myself growing and learning more and importantly meeting people. I love engaging and meeting new people.”
Monare needs over 450 SMS votes to make itto the semi-finals and 2450 SMS votes to become a finalist for the top crown.
The SA finale will take please in May 2023 at the Pretoria State Theatre and the winner of the night will get an opportunity to represent SA in the international Pageant, Miss Teen World to be held in Ecuador, South America.
