Four robbery suspects wanted after armed hijacking in Orlando East

Orlando East police are searching for four suspects linked to a robbery on New Canada Road where a man was held at gunpoint and robbed of his cellphone. The suspects fled in a grey Toyota Etios. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

A case of robbery has been opened with Orlando East SAPS after a man was held at gunpoint on July 27 along New Canada Road.

According to Orlando East police spokesperson Sergeant Nomvula Mbense, the complainant was approached from behind by a male suspect who pressed a firearm to the back of his head and ordered him not to turn around.

“The firearm was cocked, and the complainant was robbed of his cellphone,” said Sergeant Mbense.

“The suspect allegedly fled in a grey Toyota Etios driven by a female, with two male passengers.”

Police are urging anyone with information that may assist the investigation to contact the Orlando East police station.
