His murder comes less than a month after the killing of fellow Operations Dudula member, Dan Hadebe, a development that has left the movement shocked and deeply troubled.

Operation Dudula has expressed grave concern over what it describes as continued, targeted attacks on its members.
The organisation is calling on law-enforcement authorities to intensify investigations, improve safety measures, and ensure that those responsible for the killings are swiftly brought to justice.
“We urge authorities to prioritise these cases and protect all South Africans,” the organisation said, while members and supporters continue to mourn Malatjie’s loss.
