Christmas comes early for children in Eldorado Park

Soldiers for Jesus Motorcycle Club has been involved with PUSH organisation for a number of years and according to them, kids are supposed to have this kind of treatment every day.

PUSH organisation together with Soldiers for Jesus Motorcycle Club left the children of Eldorado Park with hearts full of joy and stomachs full of goodies. They hosted their early annual Christmas celebration for the children on Saturday, December 09.

As part of their annual celebration, this was a token of appreciation to the kids reporting to their organisations. This was also to instil a sense of value and remind them that they deserve a normal Christmas with gifts.

Pastor Kister Fisher from PUSH said, “This is just to put some dignity, pride and joy into the hearts of the children. It’s the beginning of December and even when their parents do not afford to buy them gifts, they have already received their Christmas gifts from us.”

This does not only fill their stomach but reminds them of their worth and that someone still think about them.

“It all started with a toy run, collecting toys from bikers to ensure that these children enjoy Christmas like all the other children.

“Everybody needs to joins hands and do what they can to give the kids all that they deserve because the government is not coming to provide that,” said Russell Jones, National President of Soldiers for Jesus.

Most importantly, Christmas is an opportunity for kids to learn generosity, after all, Christmas is about giving. Let your kids choose which people they’d like to get a gift for. Encourage them to think about what would make those people happy and what they’d enjoy.

“I encourage the youth to be safe and responsible. Every festive season we tend to think it’s the end of the world but we need to make good decisions in order to be able to still celebrate festive season next year,” Fisher concluded.
