Sibisi was selected for the global teacher award 2024, a testament to her dedication to education and her learners’ success.
This accolade is her third consecutive recognition, having previously received the award in 2022 and 2023.

Her outstanding educational contributions will be celebrated in January at the Global Education Fest in Delhi, India.
Sibisi was grateful and excited to receive the news, saying she was humbled to be recognised as one of the best educators globally.
She acknowledged that the award signified personal and professional growth, demonstrating her positive impact on learners’ lives and the education system.
Throughout her 16-year teaching career, Sibisi has demonstrated a commitment to excellence.
Her exceptional performance was acknowledged at the circuit, district and provincial levels across Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.
Notably, she has consistently produced outstanding results, particularly for Grade 12 learners, with some achieving top honours provincially and nationally.
Sibisi’s teaching philosophy emphasises empowering learners to pursue diverse opportunities in higher education.
Her dedication has opened doors for countless students, and she takes immense pride in their accomplishments.
“I have consistently produced the best physics learners, some of whom have been the best provincially and have even been part of the national top ten achievers,” she said.
As Sibisi prepares for the Global Education Fest, she is eager to meet teachers from over 100 countries, share teaching methodologies and learn from the best in the field.
The Teacher Shadowing and the Global Leadership programmes will enhance her professional skills. She is particularly excited about the Great India Educational Journey, which will give valuable insights into how physics is taught in Indian classrooms.
