“We focused on defending against the counterattack and ensuring our passes fell to the right players. Fortunately, we executed our game plan, and the goals came,” said Pacheco.
“So far, we have played 10 games, winning six, drawing one, and losing three. There is still a long way to go in the season, and we are pushing to climb the table.”
Ipswich FC struggled to contain the Boys FC’s attacking pressure in the first half.
Head coach Peter Wax admitted his team lacked concentration early on, allowing their opponents to dominate possession and exploit spaces.
“We were out of shape in the first half and didn’t capitalise on key moments. At halftime, we regrouped and executed our revised game plan well. Though we did not concede in the second half, we couldn’t find the goals we needed,” Wax explained.

Despite the loss, Wax is optimistic about Ipswich FC’s season.
“We have played 10 games so far and sit seventh on the log. With three matches left in the first round, there is still time to make up ground and push for a better position.”
The ELFA Super League season is still in its early stages, with both teams having plenty to play for. The Boys FC will aim to build on their momentum, while Ipswich FC looks to bounce back stronger in upcoming fixtures.
