Residents of Soweto and their industry colleagues came out in numbers to join the festivities. The Lemimo Brass Band rendered items.
Lebogang Shomang, the executive director of Kad Groove, said, ‘’Kad Groove is a DJ movement where we identify local upcoming DJs, and after seeing the video of Ma’am Nandi expressing her challenges, and considering that we are in the same industry, we thought, why not give back with the community and Disoufeng? What better way than this, music, dance, gifts and good food.”

Zandile Dabula from Operation Dadudula was among other supporters who honoured Nyembe with a portrait of herself, among other gifts from the attendees.
Nyembe shared with the Urban News how Mzansi had shown her love through this gesture.
‘’I knew I was loved, but this is the first I got an honorary event, and this means so much to me.’’
She said she started acting at a young age.
