The Hub has also supported over 40 SMMEs, offering mentorship, formalisation assistance and access to funding and networking opportunities.

This impact reflects Mapony Mall’s ongoing commitment to building communities and shaping sustainable futures.

Testimonies of transformation

One of the inspiring success stories is Lungelo Mgaga, whose passion for food security led him to join the SMME Mentorship Programme.

Today, he is the founder of Loxion Fruits, a locally inspired 100% fruit juice brand that represents the vibrancy and culture of Soweto.

Jenittah Nakana, who is still part of the NVC programme, shared how the Hub is doing good for the community.

“The programme mainly focuses on Entrepreneurship and those interested in running their businesses.

“We have learnt a lot and are acquiring many skills and knowledge. The Hub is helping us because it is scarce for people to receive some sort of free schooling. I am optimistic that I will run a successful business at the end of this,’’ said Nakana.

Growing into a digital future

The next phase of development focuses on expanding the community’s needs in a digital and entrepreneurship landscape.

A major highlight will be the introduction of state-of-the-art podcasts and media facilities developed in partnership with American Spaces.
