Emperors Palace Vegas Dreams event turns casino glamour into R100k charity boost
Blackjack, roulette, and standout performances by Jessica Mashaba and GL_CEEJAY made for a dazzling night of entertainment and philanthropy.

The magic of Vegas lit up Johannesburg as Emperors Palace hosted the glamorous Vegas Dreams Celebrity Charity Challenge, where an evening of entertainment, celebrity performances, and classic casino games turned into a night of meaningful giving.
Guests immersed themselves in the thrill of blackjack and roulette, with Lady Luck smiling not only on the tables but most importantly on the causes supported.By the close of the evening, R100 000 had been raised for charity.
The funds were shared equally between the Peermont Education Trust (R50 000) and the Peermont Children’s Trust (R50 000), ensuring that both education and child-focused initiatives in the community will benefit from the generosity of the night.

The Vegas-inspired event featured dynamic sets from DJ and influencer Jessica Mashaba, who boasts a global reach and brought high-energy beats to the stage.
The Vegas Dreams’ launch also featured GL_CEEJAY, the genre-bending vocalist whose soulful hits Uzizwa Kanjan’ and Tholukuthi have cemented him as one of Mzansi’s rising stars.
His performance transformed the Emperors Palace Reign Restaurant into a true Vegas mini-Super Bowl, blending rhythm, soul and spectacle.
“Vegas Dreams is about more than games and glamour,” said Irvin Nkosi, the department head for promotions, events and entertainment.
“It’s about creating an experience that not only entertains but also uplifts, with every spin and every hand dealt contributing to a brighter future for children and students.”
