A tragedy struck a local family when their double-story house collapsed in Doornkop on December 28. Three lives were lost in this incident: two adult females and one child.

Upon arrival at approximately 03:00, the EMS was dispatched to a reported building collapse. it was confirmed that six people were inside the house during the tragedy, and three people were trapped.
