In the spirit of Youth Day, the Winny Radebe Foundation donated food parcels to 40 orphans in Lufhereng Extension 1, Soweto, giving assistance to these individuals and reminding them that they are never alone.
As South Africa commemorated Youth Day on June 16, the Winny Radebe Foundation reached out to 40 orphaned children in Lufhereng Ext 1, Soweto, with a donation of vegetables and maize meal.
The foundation, headed by its founder and chairperson, Winny Radebe, delivered the food parcels to the children at 1600 Nkelenga Road, where they had gathered to receive them.

The orphans were coming from three different areas and were living without their parents, who had passed away.
According to Radebe, the act of kindness was meant to show that they loved and cared for the children on that special day.
“These children are facing difficult circumstances, and we wanted them to know that they are seen, valued and supported. Youth Day is a time to reflect on the future of our young people, and we believe that no child should feel forgotten,” she said.
The donation consisted of vegetables and maize meal, and this will help provide food for the children and their families.
The food was donated by an organisation which opted not to disclose its name.
The community appreciated this effort, noting that it was a breath of fresh air for those who always find it hard to meet their basic needs.
The Winny Radebe Foundation continues to help vulnerable people in the community through various programmes.
