Case postponed for Jub Jub after bail

Television personality Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on June 22 on charges linked to an alleged firearm incident in Edenvale, with the case postponed to August 24 for further investigation.

Molemo Maarohnye, popularly known as ‘’Jub Jub’’, made his first appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court on June 22 on charges of discharging a firearm in a public place and pointing anything likely to be a firearm at an e-hailing driver.

The incident involved an e- hailing driver in Edenvale on June 14, 2026.

During the subsequent investigation, a pellet gun was seized at Maarohanye’s residence.

The suspect appeared in court while out on bail, following an urgent application granted by the Gauteng Division of the High Court in Johannesburg on June 16 2026.

In a statement released by the NPA, it was stated that they remain guided by the evidence and are committed to ensuring that the matter proceeds through the criminal justice process without fear, favour or prejudice.

The matter was postponed to August 24 2026, for further investigation.
