ActionSA's Johannesburg Region visited the Battling Kids Organisation in Nomzamo Park informal settlement to donate gifts to elderly residents as part of a community outreach initiative honouring senior citizens.
ActionSA’s Johannesburg Region visited the Battling Kids Organisation in Nomzamo Park informalsettlement to donate goodies to elderly residents.
The outreach, led by Johannesburg regional chairperson Themba Mabunda on behalf of ActionSA president Herman Mashaba, brought joy and appreciation to the community’s senior citizens.

The ActionSA Johannesburg Region visited the Battling Kids Organisation, an NGO that supports elderly residents in Nomzamo Park informal settlement on July 25, where they donated goodies to gogos as part of a community outreach initiative.
ActionSA Johannesburg regional chairperson Themba Mabunda was in attendance.
When commenting on the outreach initiative, ActionSA president Herman Mashaba said that looking after the elderly is an important task.

“Our elders have laid the foundation for the communities we call home today. Taking a moment to honour, appreciate and care for them is a reminder that dignity, compassion and service must always remain at the heart of leadership,” he said.

The gifts were handed out by Mabunda and other members of the Johannesburg Region while taking the opportunity to interact with the senior residents.
