Freedom Park sports field saw the final of a Heritage Day soccer tournament on September 24.
From a total of eight teams, four made it to the semi-final stages of the tournament and battled it out to see which teams would progress to the final.
These teams were; Brothers, Tsunami, Bruno and The Boys football clubs. A hotly contested semi-final would see Brothers Football Club (red jerseys) and Bruno Football Club (blue jerseys) emerge as worthy winners.
The final stage of the tournament was a scrappy affair and ended in a 1-1 draw between the two teams.
A penalty shoot-out to decide the winner saw the teams still deadlocked at 5-5 and the setting sun had the last say with the prize money being shared between the two teams.
