Soccer balls donated

Ward 22, councillor Lizzy Mabaso and ANCYL donate soccer balls to three soccer teams in Pimville.

Last Wednesday Ward 22 councillor, Lizzy Mabaso and the Mpete Mosaka African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) donated soccer balls to three soccer teams in Pimville.

In a bid to support the townships soccer teams, Welele Football Club, Life Tree Youth (LTY) and Zone 3 Social Team received the balls.

At the handover ceremony, Mabaso thanked Hero Africa who assisted in the donation.

“Residents need to rally behind these young sports people as they are the future champions in our country,” she said.

She thanked the team coaches for the sacrifices they make in developing young leaders and for instilling discipline and social responsibility among them.

“There are many recreational facilities available to you residents, facilities such as a swimming pool, a basketball field, a netball field, a rugby field, a tennis court are at Pimville Community Centre (PCC) and you need to use them,” she said.
