Motown brings back old school music

Motown will be performing classic hits to revive old school music

Motown, a band that specialises in performing old school music, will be on stage November 29 at the Elridge Primary School hall.

Motown wants to revive old school music where it isn’t often played.

“We will revisit the past where groups like the Temptations and Manhattans dominated the days of Motown,” said Warren Pietersen from the group.

The group was formed in 2010 after Pietersen tragically lost his 8-year old son.

Their first show was done in remembrance of the 8-year old boy.

Motown has since performed at numerous venues including the Sandton Convention Centre and Carousel.

“Motown is more like Temptaions, we started performing with their music first because they were the most popular in their time,” Pietersen said.
