

A couple of months back, the Awkward Music explained that music has moved mountains for them and they moved all the way from Durban to Joburg to pursue their music careers.
At the moment, things are looking up for the group as they making their way up by trying to collaborate with “big dogs” in the game.
Of late the group of three brothers, Simphiwe Ngcobo, Siyanda Mahlaba and Xolani Wanda have collaborated with the Designer hit track maker Payseen and Sean Banks to work on the track, My African Queen.
“We are on hip-hop, but our name says a lot. My African Queen track is a mixture of hip-hop and Afro-pop, so awkwardly so we do unthinkable and unimaginable, but what matters the most is to create best entertaining music for our audience, and that’s what we in this industry for.
“To be more specific, we can agree that music industry is always transforming constantly and as “artists” not musician we should be creative as possible.
“The motive behind this track is that we not here to entertain a certain group of people, but we are here to amuse the whole world if that is what it takes.”
They went on to indicate that they are busy trying to get a stage performance in his youth month specifically on June 16, and they are keen in not disappointing the crowd.
