Parts of vehicle stolen in Honeydew recovered in Soweto

It is alleged that parts from other vehicles were also found at the address, and were booked in at the Aeroton Vehicle Identification Service Unit.

Throughout the lifespan of these stolen vehicles, some motor dealers will buy and sell them; banks will finance them; insurance companies will insure them; and the public unknowingly will buy them.

On Sunday, 31 January, Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) Region D Operations officers together with Matrix tracking company recovered parts of a Volkswagen Polo that was stolen in Honeydew.

JMPD spokesperson, Superintendent Wayne Minnaar confirmed that officers found the shell of the stolen VW that had already been stripped. The parts were recovered at a house in Pimville Zone 5, Soweto.
