Life Springs Parkland Hospital celebrates Pharmacy Month with the community

Life Springs Parkland Hospital Pharmacy hosted an information session as part of Pharmacy Month with the theme Woman and Youth Health on Friday.
The speakers included Dr Lydia Kilani, a general surgeon who presented ‘Focus on Woman’s Health’, Professor Anita Pienaar, a specialist in the field of Kinderkinetics, who presented ‘The relationship between early childhood development and the current and future health of children’ and Uncke Duvenage, a dietician, who presented dietary recommendations and nutritional advice to all members of the community.
There were also various pharmaceutical representatives and the Minacup Foundation.
The hospital also offered free blood glucose and blood pressure testing to help with the early identification of health issues.
